8x10” platinum palladium print on Ilford Tesuki Washi Ichibei paper - Wounded Land series
8x10” platinum palladium print on Ilford Tesuki Washi Ichibei paper - Wounded Land series
Negative not quite yet there but coating works wonderful now. A modest pre-damp and 2 drops of a 50% Tween 20 solution added to the mix does a proper job with this washi paper.
@fotomuseumaanhetvrijthof 👀 FOTOGRAFEN PHOTO GALLERY 👀
Recently I was given the opportunity to dive into platinum/palladium printing (ow yes!) in a collab with Ilford. More on that and how that fares later on. Still fine-tuning the fine-tuning so to say.
Honored to have my image “Now you see me, now you don’t” selected into the “Through Many Dangers” exhibit presented by @analogforeverzine, curated by Heather Snider, director of @photoalliance.
Sold! Thank you @fotomuseumaanhetvrijthof and @debijenkorf ❤️

Platinum Palladium print on Ilford Tesuki Washi Echibei paper. The biggest issue coating this thin washi paper is getting the emulsion evenly spread onto the paper without overusing chemistry as it's so expensive. Pre-dampening the paper has so far proven to be the best solution. I heat distilled water and catch the vapor with a sheet of paper. Don't let it get too wet.
Digital negative for pt/pl printing
It’s not perfect by faaar but first pt/pd print today! Coating of the washi paper is quite finnicky so there’s more to learn there. But promising nonetheless and so nice to be finally able to dive into this process 🥰
Look what I received 🥰 Let’s dive into the world of #platinumpalladiumprints !
