Yesterday I got an email from an admin at IPA saying the following:
“Dear Contestant,
Congratulations. We are proud to announce that your photographic work has placed 1st, 2nd or 3rd in one or more of the subcategories in the 2010 International Photography Awards. In our 8th year, we are extremely honored to have received an unanticipated number of entries, nearly 15,000 submissions spanning 103 countries. The IPA has established itself as an internationally recognized competition that continues to garner the attention of the photography community worldwide.”
I was like…WTF?! When I went to the page in question I found my work to have scored third place in the subcategory People – Children – NonPro and that totally rocks! My first prize! With a Collodion photograph! Here’s the winning photo:

Wooohoow Indra, Indra, Indraaaaaa! Ik heb het nieuws nu pas gehoord,
Nog, nog, nog, nog, “the sky” is eigenlijk nog niet “the limit”.
Hopelijk zien we mekaar vlug om wat bij te praten, er volgt nog een uitnodiging voor een tentoonstellingsprojectje.
